Science Learning Series
Enhance your science knowledge with our Science Learning Series workshops and programs. The Science Learning Series is held once a month and is open to children, families and anyone with an interest in science and technology.


April 24, 2004: Build Your Own Telescope
9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Ages: 8 - 12
Build your own telescope from a kit provided by the Science Center and practice making observations. Enjoy Astronomy Day activities at the Science Center.

May 16: Risky Business
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Ages: 7 - 12
Learn about Leonardo da Vinci's parachute experiment by participating in our egg drop competition and see the new IMAX Dome Theatre film Adrenaline Rush.

June 26: Rings and Things
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Ages: 8 - 12
Join us on an exploration of Saturn, its rings and its moons. Build a model of Saturn to take home. Use your model to discover how Saturn's rings can change appearance. Finish by seeing the new Dassault Syst�mes Planetarium show Saturn: Jewel of the Solar System.


Science Learning Series Admission:
$10 Science Center Members
$15 Non-members

Science Learning Series fee includes general admission to the Science Center. Advance registration required. To make a Science Learning Series reservation, please call 313.577.8400, Option 5.
