an awe-inspiring glimpse at the everyday world of light and sound.
Dow Foundation Life Sciences Laboratory
The Life Sciences Laboratory features exhibits that focus on the similarities between the
rain forest and city ecosystems.
GM Motion Laboratory
The GM Motion Laboratory houses more than 30 exhibits which address classical mechanics
and compare motion, speed and direction.
SBC Children's Gallery
The SBC Children's Gallery at The New Detroit Science Center provides a
4,000-square-foot space that allows the pre-kindergarten set to form an interest in
science as play.
The Ford Learning Resource Center, an integral part of The New Detroit
Science Center, is the home to five unique learning environments. Five classrooms offer
hands-on, inquiry-based learning, professional development opportunities, educational
resources and classroom curriculum enhancement.
