Facility Rental Information

The New Detroit Science Center is a one-of-a-kind venue in Detroit’s Cultural Center that may be rented for special events of all types: convention/corporate receptions, fund-raisers, holiday events, cocktail receptions, birthday parties, business meetings, product launches, class reunions, and much more. Up to 3,900 guests can be accommodated in the evening, and smaller groups can utilize private rooms and the caf� during the day for business meetings and /or corporate luncheons.

Evening rental rates are determined by the amount of time and space requested. Parking, IMAX� Dome Theatre, Digital Dome Planetarium, Catering, Science Store, DaimlerChrysler Science Stage & Sparks Theater demonstrations are not included in the facility rental and may be added for an additional fee.

Please remember when planning your special event that set-up may begin only after the DSC closes to the general public and all visitors have left the building. Deliveries may be made and stored in our loading dock before the event, providing arrangements have been made with the DSC Coordinator..
