2010 PINEWOOD DERBY CAR RACES!

The Detroit Science Center is excited to announce our Pinewood Derby Car Races
on Saturday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Aug. 22 from 10am to 4:30pm.

The cost is FREE with your admission into the Detroit Science Center.

Children and adults of all ages will race against others in their age group for trophies
in Speed and Design categories. Children 12 and under will compete in one of three
age categories: 6 & under, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12. Adults: 13 and over. All awards will be
presented each day at 5:30pm.

Want to race but don't have a Derby Car? 
The Detroit Science Center has a solution!  Come to one of our Pinewood Derby Car Workshops. 
We'll supply everything you need: the kit, tools paint and instruction.  Just show up at the Detroit
Science Center with one adult and leave with your finished car.

When: July 31 or August 8
Time: 11am-2pm
Cost: $15- includes all supplies, instruction, asmission for child and one adult to workshp AND admission for child on race day (August 21 or 22)
